Kolleen Gustad is excited to be teaching English in Baker this year! She is from the small town of Kinsey, MT, and she loves rural towns. She loves animals, and her mare had a colt in late June. She also really enjoys traveling, and she has been to ten countries where she had to opportunity to interact with and learn from different cultures and communities. Finally, family is very important to her, and she try to spend as much time as she can with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. This is her first-year teaching, and she will be teaching seventh and eighth grade English, as well as MS and HS Practical English. She is thrilled to get to teach these classes, and she looks forward to meeting and teaching your student(s). She recently completed her master’s degree in teaching, and she has a bachelor’s degree in English, with minors in public relations and theatre. She also has an associate’s degree in the Performing Arts. She hopes to help struggling readers and writers the way she was once helped by teachers.
